About Cécile van Hanja

 

 

Biography

 

Cécile van Hanja, born in Corsica in 1964, graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam (NL) in 1993. Presently, she resides and operates from Haarlem (NL).

 

Selected by the La Napoule Art Foundation, Cécile secured an artist residency at Château La Napoule in France. Additionally, she received a prestigious two-year grant from the Mondrian Foundation in Amsterdam.

 

In 2014, an esteemed international jury curated by Saatchi Art chose her work to feature in London at the Griffin Gallery. Her art has been recognized by Saatchi Art for inclusion in the Samsung Architecture collection and is held in various private collections across France, Switzerland, Germany, the USA, the UK, and Japan.
